September - 2003 The oldest state agency in Texas, the Texas General Land Office, has chosen to use software solution provider Data Management Solutions to help track its oil and gas activities. The Texas General Land Office (TGLO) selected Data Management Solutions’ gas management software, GasPro5, to use in managing the state’s Take-In-Kind (TIK) program. Petris will host the system over the Internet via PetrisWINDS Now!. The Texas General Land Office manages the mineral resource underlying State of Texas owned land. Natural gas produced from many of those lands is taken in-kind and marketed directly to state agencies and independent school districts for their energy generation needs. Revenue generated from the natural gas in-kind sales goes into the Permanent School Fund.
