August - 2005 Nicor Gas has been a satisfied client of Data Management Solutions (DMS) since 1994. Nicor’s Gas Supply Group uses DMS’ GasPro software to manage their gas trading, scheduling and accounting. As Nicor’s trading with IntercontinentalExchange®‘s ICE Trading Platform increased, their need for integration with the GasPro system increased. Taking advantage of the numerous APIs offered by ICE for accessing futures and OTC markets, DMS developed an interface that automatically captures deals entered and closed on the ICE bulletin board. Once closed on ICE, the deals are immediately downloaded to their GasPro system, where they are displayed in the Trader’s screen. This integration has eliminated the need for double entry into both systems and the possibility of missing a transaction.
