“The Risk of Doing Business in Today’s Natural Gas Industry”
CHICAGO: September 16, 2009 – The Hyatt Regency Chicago was the site of this year’s LDC Gas Forum Mid-Continent Conference held September 14th – 16th where over 600 attendees from the LDC, gas marketing and gas trading industry gathered to hear presentations and discuss current topics affecting the natural gas industry today. DMS was among the LDC Forum’s major underwriters and sponsors.

Director of Marketing, Mr. John Fosdick, represented DMS on a presentation panel that addressed the area of Risk Management in today’s marketplace and regulatory environment. He was joined by Mr. Anthony Kolton-President of Logical Information Machines, Mr. Kevin Comer – Associate Director of CME, Mr. Robert Truman–Director of CenterPoint Energy Services and Mr. Douglas Schantz–President of Sequent Energy Management.

Mr. Fosdick’s presentation covered the evolution of risk in the gas industry from the vantage points of Data Security, User Security, Transactional Compliance and Business Risk. He also reviewed the advent of the ETRM “niche” and how DMS and GasPro ETRM have evolved to meet client-driven needs over the past 16 years.
