July - 2009 DMS’ GasPro ETRM has been selected as the gas management system of choice for the US subsidiary of the world’s largest gas company. DMS’ newest client-partner will be using GasPro for their energy trading and risk management software as they enter into the North American natural gas marketing and trading business. Backed by a hand-picked group of veteran gas marketing professionals, this client addition to our DMS GasPro roster can hardly be referred to as a start-up venture. They will be launching their business marketing efforts this summer with gas supply positions comprised of LNG imports from its parent company, as well as purchase agreements with various customers in which firm supply contracts at various liquid hubs across North America are transacted simultaneously with sale agreements to these same customers at various liquid hubs in Western Europe. Additionally, plans are in the works to purchase gas under short and long term arrangements from numerous counterparties in various locations in North America.Of the many product features and functionalities that the client finds advantageous, the most pivotal is the short and simple implementation and training path. With a need to launch their business in short order and be up and running in a matter of weeks, GasPro’s intuitive, seamless front-to-back design tipped the decision scales convincingly.
