DMS held its annual GasPro User Group Conference on April 22-24, 2009 in the historical town of San Antonio, Texas. The setting for this year’s conference was the beautiful Hotel Contessa on the scenic San Antonio Riverwalk. The DMS staff was joined by many of its longtime clients, as well as some of its newest clients.

A good time was had by all while DMS updated the clients on the latest enhancements, features and functions of GasPro, as well as sharing plans for future versions of GasPro and beyond.

Enhancements to existing and new functionality that have been added to GasPro this year that were presented at the conference include:

• Confirmation Manager for improved compliance management of the confirmation process.
• Invoice Manager to manage the entire invoicing process including revision management.
• New Compliance Reporting tools including the FERC 552 Report.
• Scheduling improvements including integrated Plant Processing tools that handle well volumes from input to the plant outlet, multi-pipe path ability, automatic calculations for fuel volumes, PTR% and residue.
• Fees tools that handle volumetric and percentage based fees.
• Additions of MtM in Risk and Exposure Management to the existing Credit Limits.
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tools that make it easier to manage AR & AP balances and the payments/receipts process.
• Storage ratchets have been added, as well as accommodations for additional commodity types (propane, hexane and odorant).

Many of the new features that will be coming out by the end of 2009 are in the area of Risk
Management and Compliance Reporting and include:

• FAS 133 functionality for compliance with Hedge Effectiveness reporting.
• FAS 157 functionality for compliance with Fair Value Measurement reporting.
• Additional Risk Management features include user defined date parameters around credit and liquidity exposure reporting, automatic discounting of MtM and the ability to do automated Margin Calls.
• Enhanced Rate Calculator to associate daily and monthly indexes with MtM curves.
• Tremendous improvement in speed of MtM calculations.
• Enhanced features in the Rates Upload process that include ability to specify effective date and include strike prices.
• Enhancements to transport and storage tracking to better accommodate asset optimization activities.

Several strategic alliance partners were present including Patrick Reames, Vice President of CommodityPoint, a division of UtiliPoint International, Dunham Cobb of International Commerce Incorporated and Kevin Gerold of Paragon Consulting.
